Upcoming Events

2024 is shaping up to be a huge year for yours truly. Since last month, I have accepted two more author signing appearances for next year.

I will be at the Smash/Slash Author Bash in Michigan City, IN on Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th. All proceeds will go to a local Domestic Violence shelter.

Also, I will be attending the Books and Bourbon Spooky Soiree in Bardstown, KY on October 25-26th. Bardstown is not only the Bourbon capital of the world, but it is also known for its rich haunted historical history, and is the second oldest town in Kentucky. Thus, it is the perfect event for the upcoming spooky season.

My next major signing appearance will be The Grand Author Takeover on February 23-24th at The Grand Hotel in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. I am excited for my first international signing event and I can't wait to meet all of my new friends from the Great White North.

In addition, I will be at Dreaming Dirty in Michigan at the Hilton Garden Inn Ann Arbor on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. I'm looking forward to teaming up with the amazing Award-Winning Author Samantha Moran!

Plus, as you probably know, I am returning to Sinful Signings next year. This amazing event will once again take place in Roanoke, VA on September 21-22nd, 2024. Tickets are on sale NOW through EventBrite.

Looking ahead to 2025, I will be at the Romance In CNY author signing in Utica, NY. Feel free to save the date, Saturday April 26th. Plus, I will be at the mega-event Getting Witchy With It at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel on Sunday, June 29th.

Author Spotlight

This month's author spotlight focuses on the exceptionally talented and versatile Caytlyn Brooke.

I specifically chose this photo because it best exemplifies her sheer vibrance and infectious personality. While Caytlyn specializes in dark fantasy, she has made her mark as a multi-genre author who refuses to be typecast.

I recently read her holiday-themed short story, The Baker's Wife, which absolutely blew me away. In this erotic thriller, the gingerbread man comes to life and forms the perfect lover for the beleaguered title character. Can this sweet, festive treat last through the new year and beyond or will the magic of the season run, run, run its course?

Caytlyn's most recent offering is Hush Little Baby, a reimagining of three familiar childhood tales, each with a dreadful twist and a horrifying ending that will make you shiver. These are not the fairytales you remember, but they will be the renderings you'll never forget.

This past summer, she released her first contemporary romance novel, Crimson Crisp. In this phenomenal offering, Caytlyn effortlessly masters the Hallmark movie "country-boy-meets-city-girl" trope. Our female main character, Avery Sterling, is forced to work at her uncle's apple orchard to prove her worth. There she meets Jonah, the grumpy farmhand tasked with training her. Before long, they discover an insatiable desire to be with each other. Will they maintain a strict business relationship, or will they slowly give in to their desires?

My first foray into the world of Caytlyn Brooke was her young adult dark fantasy called Dark Flowers. When Eliza attempts to leave St. Agatha's School for Girls with her best friend, Millie, they discover something in the Louisiana swamps that may be even more dangerous than the orphanage — a world of silver-and-black fairies. Eliza doesn't trust the sparkling beauties, and she’ll do anything to protect Millie. This story hooked me for good.

I am honored to call her my friend and encourage all of you to visit her website and read all of her books.

On A Personal Note

Growing up, I loved Christmas with a passion. It wasn't just the gifts. It was the one time of year when my entire family got together in one place to celebrate the season. In recent years, my parents have retired and moved to warmer weather locales. Other family members have moved away as well. Nowadays, they celebrate the holidays with their significant others and their families, scattered all over the country. It all generates mixed emotions for me.

It also makes me realize that we need to celebrate each other all year long. You never know what tomorrow will bring. To steal a holiday song lyric, don't save it all for Christmas Day. Find a way to give a little love every day.

This year has been an amazing, breakthrough year for me. I couldn't have done it without your love and support. I love each and every one of you.

For those who do not observe Christmas, I wish you and yours a Happy Holiday Season. For those who celebrate on December 25th, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
