Yay! We made it! We are all survivors of something, that's why we are still here. Well you know what? We've survived this month, we've survived mercury retrograde, and we'll keep on surviving. Destiny's Child says it best ::sound on:: |

I'm here today to talk a little about podcasts and the number 8. I listen to a lot of podcasts and have so many favorites, but since I was on a friend's podcast, that I really like, I thought I'd share some of my top 8. |
1. Sooo Many White Guys This podcast actually makes me LOL. Great guests and conversations. I particularly enjoy the banter between Phoebe and producer Joanna "Joni Mitch". |
2. Metta Hour Podcast Sharon Salzberg sits down and gets real. Her approach to teaching is equally loving and humorous. Explore REAL LOVE. *I enjoy all podcasts on this network* |

From everyday experiences to pithy revelations, each podcast is a journey on the path of self-discovery led by Sharon, often with special guests. |
3. Duncan Trussel Family Hour A bit bro-ey, yet sweet, heartfelt, and inspiring. Duncan is well worth listening to with important conversations and excellent guests, though I wish he spoke to more women guests on his show. *advise: bizarre humor aspects |

Yogaland Podcast with Andrea Ferretti & Jason CrandellA weekly yoga podcast that focuses on creating a happy, healthy, meaningful life. |
6. Tara Brach is one of the first people who opened my mind to a different state of being. A true storyteller. |
7. Sufi Heart Podcast by Dr. Omid Safi is a newer podcast, but has quickly become a favorite. He is Director of Duke University's Islamic Studies Center, and this really shows through his incredible, poetic reflections on radical love. Dr. Safi shares the words of Islamic mystics and weaves it into our current and historic events. |

Meditate and Number 8: Last week, I went to Big Bear with Rabbi Susan Goldberg and friends! Please find her and join her sometime for inspiring soulful Jewish Spirituality for all. Our 4th year in a row and what a blessing to share yoga on a musical Shabbat retreat with such a loving and welcoming Nefesh community. Rabbi Susan spoke a lot about the number 8, but my initial takeaway was meditating for, at the very least, 8 minutes a day. I am trained in TM which has a standard of 20 mins morning, and 20 mins afternoon. This is where I am getting back to, but after giving myself permission to keep it at 8 minutes, I've found a joyful sweet spot in that timeframe over the weekend. |
