Moon's Nest Playschool ADVENTURE. play. Connection. |

Greetings playschool friends and families! Winter Solstice has come and gone. We find ourselves here on the brighter side of the seaon. The first snow and ice fell on these lands we live and love on, letting us know, ready or not; Winter is here. On the Dark Night I sent descendents of path and blood out to brave the dark with little more than the paper lanterns we'd made together, and a few guides. I walked, sat, sang, cried, and prayed into a wet woods next to a creek and listened for the voices of the Silent Ones to find me. I held a spot in circles of friends with no one but the dark forest to hold our sharing and ritualizing. My shadow and light wrestled with each other in very personal and transformative ways. And in my skin, life is seasonal as much as the personal is political. I pray that your magicks, traditions, and welcomings of Winter were just as potent. Now, let us find our way into January and the world of play, here in this Winter Solstice to Imbolc tide. xo, Miz Flow |

Playschool back from Kindle Cascadia! We had a lovely experience facilitating the children's program this year at Kindle Cascadia. If you happened to be there with us, you know how much fun it was to craft, play, and be together over the Solstice week. If you missed it, we missed you! Take a peek into our week together here, and get inspired about the possibilities of joining us next year!

Upcoming Changes in our Friday Flow |
|
|
Last month WILD and Moon's Nest visioned and agreed to collaborate for an integrated day of forest play through the Winter season. As it turned out, WILD did not make their enrollment goals to float the program, and those who did enroll felt less than optimal about a full day of winter forest play for their kiddos or the idea of rotating nature locations. At this date, it's unclear of how a mutually supportive collaboration between their unschooly community and ours will look, but it's in the couldren and I'll let you all know as the process unfolds a bit more. To fill the gap and to continue forward with the vision of an integrated day of forest play for our playschool, we're adding another play community for kiddos ages 6-9 to our Friday flow. Read on and find out more about this class below, and please do feel free to send me a follow up message about these changes. |

Announcing our new Moon Beams class for unschooly kiddos ages 6-9. To start, this class will meet every Friday alongside the Moon Flowers class, starting the first week of January. Depending on the feedback I get from parents, I may add additional days for this class in the coming months. We'll start with opening up a total of 3 spots for the Moon Beams class, so please do let me know asap if your kiddo(s) aged 6-9 would like to enroll and claim one of these few spots. I'll be updating the website to include this class soon, but for now please do just share this new class with your networks via good ol' fashioned word of mouth!
