Our grave restoration appeal is now up to $500; we've got some missing names on family photographs; and the puzzle of Private Charles Smith our g.g.g.g. grandfather is almost solved.

Family Memorial Restoration Appeal
 
We've now raised over $500 towards the $6500 we need to  restore the grave where Jeanetta and George are buried.
 
Can you help? Everyone that contributes will get their name on a brass plaque to be placed on the obelisk.
 
If we don't act, the council may soon be required to push the stone over.

Charles Smith revealed
 
Geoff Brew has been actively researching the life of Charles Smith, Jeaneatta Menzies (nee Smith) father. It's an incredible tale of colony and empire and how Australia was made. Charles story is now right up to date and yet there are still puzzles to be solved.
