Marcia's Ministry October Newsletter

Egypt Project 2017

14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

EGYPT Project, departing Oct. 19th!

Thank You for creating resources that will be used to invest in people all over the world! Considering the nature of this ministry to countries whose governments are hostile to Christians and Christianity, I can only make this ministry known to "select few people" by newsletters, with no social media presence. Therefore, only friends and acquantances, are given opportunity to contribute and partner with this  ministry projects and accomplishments. However, you can tell others and show them the website so they can see what we are all about.

A Look At Missions!!

If our only concern is to witness where we are, how will people in unevangelized areas ever hear the gospel? ROM. 10:14-15

A Missionary is specially called of God for a distinct ministry. The root of the words ‘mission’ and ‘missionary’ is the Latin verb mitto (I send). But since the Bible was written in Greek and Hebrew, we find that the Greek verb apestello has the idea of being sent, and from it comes the word for ‘apostle’ (apostolos), which means ‘sent one’.

Missions is the whole task, endeavor, and program of the Church of Jesus Christ to reach out across geographical and/ or cultural boundaries by sending missionaries to evangelize people who have never heard or who have little opportunity to hear the saving gospel.

The Lord Jesus set apart twelve of His disciples as ‘apostles’ and sent them out to their own people Israel (Mk. 4:12; Matt. 19:1-6). Later God set apart others like Paul and Barnabas as apostles to the Gentiles as well (Acts 9:19; 13:3; 22:21; Gal. 2:7-9). The idea of ‘being sent’ is central in both cases. So the apostles were the first ‘missionaries’ - at home and foreign. But what were they sent to do that ordinary Christians were not commissioned to do? First, we find that the twelve apostles had left their secular occupations and devoted themselves full time as disciples of Christ to Christian ministry, as Peter said, “but we will devote ourselves to prayer, and to the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4). We find that Paul and Barnabas and the other apostles normally did the same even when they had no financial support from churches.

They were sent to cross both geographical and cultural boundaries to win Gentiles to Christ (Acts 22:21).

Meditation

In praying about this project, I've submitted to the Lord my time and told Him to interrupt me anytime because I want to hear from Him more. Well, they say, "be careful what you ask for!" Sure enough He has been interrupting my sleep(2-3 hour/night), yet I feel rejuvinated, to speak about the Word and who He is to me. For example, He says I'm His bride, and He is my husband who is wealthy and wants me to depend on him for all I need, for that is the role of a husband. I knew that mentally, but now it's "Rhema" to me and firm in my heart, and I now can see why some things have not happened as I expected. He also showed me how we limit ourselves as His children and therefore limit Him most of all. Some times we think we believe and are walking by faith, but are we really? Thank you all for all your prayers and well wishes!

In any event, I am so thankful to you all for participating in this ministry with me!!

17. a gift—Greek, "the gift." Translate, "It is not that I seek after the gift, but I

do seek after the fruit that aboundeth to your account";

which shall be put down to your account, against the day of reward (Heb 6:10).
