Project Briggs, Inc.

Year Review

** OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE **

Washington, DC – June 26, 2017 - To our Donors, Supporters, and Friends, This year I am proud to share the tremendous progress Project Briggs, Inc. have made. We’ve had many important events that took place under our umbrella. I’d like to take the opportunity to talk about Project Briggs Inc. as a community organization and our commitment to community service, and the need why Project Briggs. Inc. belongs here.

The word “community” can be defined as “a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.” I’ve also seen it defined as “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.” - Abdur Rahim Briggs, President.

We are in a special place and the communities in which we serve. We are committed to our philanthropy and supporting others. As a community leader, we play an important role not only in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland but also across many other states. Our commitment to community service and projects has over 50 years combined experience from the members of Project Briggs, Inc. Executive Baord. We know and appreciate the uniqueness of our marketplace. Providing services to help unmet needs in the community. By doing this the best we can through a positively different experience, we continue to grow; and that growth supports our affiliations.

Our success also helps support the many important, hard-working organizations that make Project Briggs. Inc. such a special organization. Our projects have supported the homeless in Baltimore by providing over 200 brand new and gently used winter items, a successful launch of Project Briggs Inc., Mentorship for the HBCUs LGBT Safe organizations, #THEBOLDBRAVE30 Annual Community Service Reception, Pink Pumpkin Donation for American Cancer Society and Casa Ruby Annual Toiletry Drive Happy Hour for the Hispanic Bilingual Multicultural community for the homeless. We’ve build strong alliances through our Project Briggs, Inc. Monthly Newsletter, built Promotional Partnerships for Xcape Puerto Rico LGBT Arts & Culture Music Festival, Pre Black Pride Brunch Day Party with Urbane Society celebrating the 27th Annual DC Black Pride, Baltimore Pride, House-Music in New Jersey, Ski Trip Escape, Kingdom Covenant Ministries and in 2016 we gave away Thanksgiving Day baskets to needy families.

Our donors, supporters and friends can feel confident in knowing 100% of all donations supports our projects, events, and initiatives. That is community service, that’s what we do and why we are here. The more donations we get the more support we’re able to provide to these worthy local causes. And we couldn’t do it alone. When we put out the call for help, you-our donors, supporters and friends, never cease to amaze us with your warm hearted generosity and caring spirit.

“Project Briggs. Inc. provide an unusual, important opportunity for stakeholders on diverse issues to share experiences and formulate groundbreaking initiatives across a diverse set of crucial issues,” - Dr. Roshonda Contee-Keynote speaker at #THEBOLDBRAV30 Annual Community Service Reception.

We would like to acknowledge generous financial contributions that make our work possible. Thanks to our supporters and donors. Project Briggs. Inc. is able to stimulate the fundamental change needed to strengthen the role of the communities in which we serve. Our Mission would not be possible without the following Supporters and Allies in the Greater Washington DC area and beyond: Waddie Grant - Blogger and Executive Producer at The G-Listed, McGregory Williams – President of Omega Entertainment DC, Gregory Douglas – Executive Producer of Xscape Puerto Rico, Dr. Keith R. Harley, Jr. - Owner of the Keith Harley Hair and Scalp Clinic, Ebone' F. Bell - Managing Editor of TAGG Magazine, Robert C. White, Jr. – At-Large DC City Councilmember, Muriel E.
