Monday, May 1 Make new friends in the month of May at Growing Up's Busy Little Hands Play Group. Every Monday from 10:30am until noon, children ages three and under are invited to enjoy free play in the Learning Center. Do you have a reader who could use a little more confidence? Try Roll Over & Read at St. Petersburg Main Library. This free program helps reduce anxiety and build reading skills with the help of a trained therapy dog. Call the library to register. Tuesday, May 2 Children and parents are welcome to experience music firsthand at NoiseMakers' Punkertown. The open format class begins at 10am and costs $5 per family. After school, Meet the Masters at makeme studio. In this elementary art program, students in grades K through 5 will engage in an art history lesson and enriching visual art project from 3:30pm to 5pm. This week's featured artist is Frida Kahlo! Wednesday, May 3 Help your preschooler develop the early literacy skills needed for school at Preschool Reading Adventures hosted by Barbara S. Ponce Public Library at 10am. The program may include stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays, crafts and other hands-on activities. Friday, May 5 Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Children's Book Week with Dragons Love Books at Largo Public Library. Beginning at noon, there will be yummy treats and lots of stories at this specially-themed program for children ages 3 to 5. Don't forget to register in the Children's Department! Sunday, May 7 Start your engines! It's time for Toddlerdega! Bring your children ages 2 to 6 and their "ride-in" power wheels to Pro Karting Experience for some mini-racing from 9am until 11am.
