News You Can Use

August 2016

Welcome to the first issue of News You Can Use.  As an Attorney for the past 15 years, I have helped people with their Estate Plans and have prepared over 5000 Estate Plans, Wills, Trusts, Advance Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorneys.  I recently opened my law firm, Afsar Estate Planning to Provide Estate Plans Expertly, Efficiently and Affordably.

Many of you may know about my daughter Arianna Afsar.  I am taking a moment to give her a Shout-Out.  She has worked long and hard and is "Not Throwing Away Her Shot" because she landed the role of a lifetime as Eliza Hamilton in the Chicago production of Hamilton: The American Musical

Frequently Asked Questions

Each month I will answer a question of interest.  You can click on the hyperlink which will bring you to the Question and Answer.  This month, the question is "What Is An Advance Health Care Directive?"

Shutting down scammers and their pop-up ads

Stepping Up to Support Family Caregivers

Family caregivers are doing more than ever to support their family members, neighbors and friends who have long-term or chronic health needs. They shop, cook, drive and manage finances. They bathe, dress, toilet and feed. Most also do things they never even dreamed they would need to do - unless they went to nursing school.

What to Say to Someone Who's Dying
