The Andrews Spouses' Club has had some changes in the past few weeks and we would like to be sure our members are aware of these changes. 

Cathy F. And Liz W. have faithfully served on the board of the Andrews Spouses' Club, and have clearly helped shape the ASC. Each of these ladies, have  put their every effort into making the ASC a success its first year as an all ranks club. Sadly, both have decided that at this time they will be stepping down as President and Advisor, respectively, of the ASC and we would like you to join us by thanking them both personally when you see them, as they are still part of our community of ASC Club members.

We would like to thank Jan D. for stepping in to the role of ASC President, Alicia H.W. for stepping in as the 1st Vice President and Angie J. who will become our 2nd Vice President. These ladies all have experience on the board and will serve the club well for the balance of the board year.

Newsletters and Shout Outs and Facebook...Oh my! 

There too, will be some changes to how ASC information will be distributed. 

The website will be the primary source of updated information for the ASC but we will of course post things on the FB site as well.  Realizing that FB is momentary and unless reviewed daily, some members may miss posts regarding ASC activities,  we recommend at least a weekly review of the website or scrolling through the weekly posts on Facebook . 

We also understand that a full fledged newsletter is no longer a desired commodity, so we will be creating weekly/bi- weekly "Shout Outs" similar to this email, instead.

This will help alleviate inundated "in-boxes" and keep information to our members as updated as possible. For our members who do not have access to the internet or have asked to not receive emails, we will send out a 1 or 2 sheet review of upcoming events and happenings, that will be sent out via postal service.(not a full fledged newsletter) monthly.   

 Additionally we are considering other types of social media too, (Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc...) but again are looking for feedback regarding the usage and probability of it being a useful source of info for our members. If you are a social media guru, please consider being a publicity co-chair. 

Coming soon...Board Elections...          WE WANT YOU!!!!

Over the next 2 months all ASC members are eligible to participate in the election of board members. We are working to post all job descriptions on our website and look forward to your nominations and participation in the forming of the board for the upcoming year.

This club can only reflect the spouses of JBA if we have board members who reflect the same. We encourage all ASC members to become actively involved in the forming of the new 2015-2016 board which will convene in the fall. 

Don't forget that ASC scholarship applications must be postmarked by 4/1/2015.  Please share and remind friends and family to apply if eligible. See application information below. 

Luck O' The Irish - March Luncheon

What a wonderful afternoon of music and dance - Irish style. We were lucky to have TSgt. Tianello,  bagpiper from the USAF Band, perform and delight us with  classic songs, patriotic songs and one original song of his own. 

Along with the old world sound of the bagpipes, we enjoyed a hand clapping performance by the young dancers of the Boyle School of Irish Dance. The dancers from this school are literally "world class" and we were so delighted to see them perform.  - Happy St. Patricks to those of you who are Irish and those who are "Irish at Heart"

3/18...ASC/Chick-Fil-A Fundraiser - Bring your kids, bring your friends, bring your wallet...Karen and her crew have another delicious lunchtime fundraiser planned. These fundraisers are vital to the work of the ASC, thank-you for showing your support.  3/18 - 1100-1300 @ the Jones Building, Lobby B...See you there!

3/26...Lunch Bunch - Betty and the Lunch Bunch are meeting up for another round of food and fun. Location has not been determined YET...But keep an eye on FB and the Website for update. 

3/27...Creativity Club - Promise and the crew have a fun project this month. Mason jar, solar lights for the yard. These look like so much fun. What a nice reminder that warm weather is on its way. Please see the website for details. 

4/14 - ASC General Membership Event - Our programs people had an event in mind but due to a special opportunity we may be making a "Surprise Luncheon" announcement...Details to be sent out soon but save the date. 

As always - please check the FB page and ASC website for the most current information on all of these event and others. 

Creativity Club will be using this technique for the solar yard stakes they will be making on the 27th.
