Dear Friends of MASCP, In 2018, a time of much violence, our 32 year old sister city project continues to bring us together to build peace across borders with our sisters and brothers in El Salvador. The Madison Arcatao Sister City Project is saddened by the passing of Fred Arnold, who together with his wife Barbara accompanied our Project and our sisters and brothers in El Salvador for many, many years. In 2002 after visiting our Sister City of Arcatao, they, together with many sistering friends from Madison College, helped bring Luz Muñoz from Arcatao to Madison. Fred continued to be a partner with our Project and we celebrate him today as a Peacebuilder in the face of violence. Fred will live within us as a person who challenged unjust structures and worked tirelessly to make the world a better place. ¡Compañero Fred, Presente! |

Pope Francis announced that Romero´s miracle was approved by the church. There is a possibility the ceremony will happen in El Salvador in October this year!!!” | | |
