Dr. Gary Sibbald

Curriculum Chair

Dermatologist (Mississisauga, Ont.)

Dr. Sibbald is a dermatologist and internist with a special interest in wound care and education. He is a professor of medicine and public health at the University of Toronto and an international wound care key opinion leader (educator, clinician, and clinical researcher).

Dr. Andrew Alexis

Dermatologist, Director, Skin of Color Center, Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai St. Roosevelt (New York City)

Dr. Alexis is the Chair of the Department of Dermatology of Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai West. He is also associate professor of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As Director of the Skin of Color Center, he is actively involved in advancing patient care, research, and education pertaining to dermatological disorders that are prevalent in ethnic skin.

Dr. Danielle Marcoux

Dermatologist (Montreal)

Dr. Marcoux is a dermatologist at CHU Sainte-Justine and associate professor in the Pediatrics Department. She completed her dermatology residency at The Université de Montréal and her MD residency at Stanford Medical Center, University of California. Dr. Marcoux served as President of the Canadian Dermatology Association (2004-2005) and President of the Montreal Dermatology Society (1992-2000).

Dr. Yvette Miller-Monthrope

Dermatologist (Brampton, Ont.)

Dr. Miller-Monthrope is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the American Board of Dermatology. She obtained a degree in mathematics and statistics from Western University in London, Ont., and then went on to complete her medical degree and residency training in dermatology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Miller-Monthrope has a special interest in treating disorders of pigmentation. This led her to serve as the co-director of the Ethnic Skin Research Unit (ESRU) at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto. In addition she is committed to the prevention and management of skin cancer, the management of inflammatory dermatoses, and to performing minor cosmetic procedures on the face and body.

 

Dr. Charles Cheng

Family Physician ​​​​​(Vancouver)

Dr. Cheng is the Medical Director of Skin Matters, a leading non-surgical aesthetic practice in Vancouver. As a clinical assistant professor at the University of British Columbia, he has been actively involved in academic and regulatory medicine, from admissions to licensing at the College of Surgeons and Physicians of BC.

Dr. Jerry Tan

Dermatologist (Windsor, Ont.)

Dr. Tan is a general dermatologist with a research interest in acne and rosacea. He is the Medical Director of Healthy Image Centre for Cosmetic Dermatology and an adjunct professor at Western University. Dr. Tan trained in medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont., in internal medicine at the University of Toronto, and in dermatology at the University of British Columbia and Michigan. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Canadian Dermatology Association, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
