Winter Camping

Eagle Lodge Cabin at Seven Mountains Scout Camp

Winter camping will take place at the Eagle Lodge Cabin at Seven Mountains Scout Camp from Friday, January 12th through Sunday, January 14th.  Both the upper and lower levels of the Eagle Lodge have been reserved and can collectively hold 64 people in bunk bed style accommodations.  Each level has a kitchen and private restrooms!  If more space is needed based on attendance numbers, we will make additional plans at the camp to accommodate all.

We will have Klondike Derby stations, activity areas for advancement, and hopefully sled-riding if snow is on the ground.  The Pack will provide dinner on Saturday night and breakfast will be served in the mornings for those that are staying overnight.

There are three Camping Options you can choose from.  Please use the below sign-up genius to select which one works best for your family's schedule.

Klondike Derby

Saturday, January 27th @ 8:00 a.m.

Seven Mountains Scout Camp

The Klondike Derby is an annual event held during the winter months and is based on the heritage of the Klondike Gold Rush.  This year, the 47th annual Klondike Derby will be held on Saturday, January 27th at Seven Mountain Scout Camp beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending when all events have concluded, usually around 3:30 p.m.  The theme is the Old Buffalo Trace.  The event consists of several stations where patrols/units must test their Scoutcraft skills and leadership abilities, earning points toward a final score.  Stations include archery, bb gun shooting, cooking, first aid, theme quiz, and sled obstacle course.  The patrols must transport all their gear on a homemade sled pulled by the Scouts.

The Klondike is for Webelos only, however all Scouts are welcome to come and cheer on Cub Scout Pack 375!  This year, we will have two patrols competing; one for the Webelos I and another for the Webelos II.

Please confirm your Scout's participation with their Den Leader,

Katie Brumberg or Brian Hill.

Klondike Derby Snow Date is Saturday, February 3rd @ 8:00 a.m.

January Pack Meeting

Thursday, Jan. 18th @ 7:00 p.m.

Good Shepherd Catholic Church

Our next Pack Meeting will be Thursday, January 18th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  A Tiger Den will be doing their first flag ceremony!

Pinewood Derby

Saturday, February 17th

Good Shepherd Catholic Church

Theme:  Internet Memes

It's that time of year again!  The annual Pinewood Derby is just around the corner! Santa and Mrs. Claus came to our last Pack meeting to distribute Pinewood Derby kits for the upcoming Pinewood Derby in February.  This year's theme is Internet Memes to include the countless Youtube videos kids seem to be mesemrized with.  Each kit includes wood and wheels to make their car.  There are specific guidelines the Scouts must follow when crafting their cars to include weight restrictions.  Please see the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) official website for Pinewood Derby Rules and Regulations.

Scouts are not required to participate in the Pinewood Derby nor are they required to stay for the duration of the event, just their time slot and Finals if applicable.  Those unable to attend the event can still have their cars compete so long as the car is provided beforehand.  Each Scout competes against other cars from their Den.  Den winners and those with the fastest times go on to compete in an overall Pack race.  The top three Pack finishers then compete in the District Finals usually held in mid-late April.

Please see below for additonal details and tentative race times.
