2017-2018 MRBC Board Election Results

Congratulations and THANK YOU to Shveta Gupta - Vice President and Sarita Mamillipalli - Treasurer elected at the Annual MRBC May General Membership Meeting for 2017-2018!

Thank you to our nominating Committee: Tina Chulick - Chair, Lissette Geter and Savita Patil.

As shared prior, in order for the McKamy Robotics Club to exist in 2017-2018 all four MRBC Officer positions must be filled; therefore, a President and Secretary must be appointed.  Pursuant to our Bylaws, Article X, Section 4f the Executive Board will fill vacancies of officers and chairmen.

Transition takes place starting June 1st with full support of the current officers. Teams will not be formed for 2017-2018 until this time and appointments have been confirmed.

All returning student parents and incoming new student parents are eligible to hold either position for 2017-2018.   Currently and in the past some parent mentors have also served as an officer.

We already have 37 amazing students who have joined and are ready to get started for 2017-2018!

We already have 14 parents who have registered they would serve as Parent Mentors....which is OUTSTANDING!

Appointment Candidates for President and Secretary

MRBC Board

You can self-nominate or nominate another returning or incoming 2017-2018 MRBC member for the open positions by sending an e-mail to mckamyrobotics@gmail.com. We will reach out to all candidates personally to discuss the roles and answer questions to confirm agreement the candidate would serve.

As we discussed at the May Annual MRBC General Membership Meeting the foundation has been built! You have MRBC Google Drive, processes, forms, parts inventory, team management, robotics lab resources, fields, sponsors,  and amazing students with inspiring parent mentors!

You can be a working parent or stay-at-home parent to serve.  The board meetings will be set by the new board. Any parent member with a desire to inspire students in STEM can serve in the positions.  One officer does not work alone...it's a true team effort with full support of McKamy Middle School Principal and Sponsor.
