Fusion D and Divas Dance Company want to share our sincere gratitude for coming to see our show in March, Herstory! It was a long but exciting journey, and we truly appreciate your love and support.

We have a few updates that we'd like to share with you. First, as you all may know, our vision is to be a dance, music and entertainment movement recognized not only for the quality of our performance, but also for our social responsibility. Conscious of the potential that women have to empower their communities, Fusion D and Divas Dance Company partners with organizations that support women from all backgrounds.

Last year during our summer performance season we had the opportunity to raise funds for "The Empowerment Plan", a Detroit-based nonprofit organization focused on permanently elevating families from the generational cycle of homelessness. They hire single parents (mostly women) from local shelters and provide them with training and full-time employment as seamstresses so that they can earn a stable income, find secure housing, and regain their independence. The individuals hired then manufacture a coat designed to meet the needs of those in the homeless community.

Because of your financial support last summer, we were able to bring 10 of these coats to the San Diego community! To ensure the jackets made it to individuals who needed them most, we partnered with St. Mark's City Heights. St. Mark's is a church community committed to the principles of inclusivity and social justice, and that has been serving the neighborhood of City Heights for over 100 years.

Secondly, we'd like to announce that we will soon be launching sponsorship opportunities for those interested in investing in Divas Dance Company. As we enter our third year as a company, we are committed to continue growing and invite you to be a part of this next step in our evolution. We have more fire than ever and can't wait to share what we are creating with you. Stay tuned!
