GREAT EXPECTATIONS UPDATE
Here are the life principles that we are focusing on in Great Expectations each week of this month along with their definitions and the quote that we will be using that week. I have also included some things that you can do at home to support your students in learning these life principles.

Kindness means to be friendly and considerate.

Set the example by being courteous at home. Your example gives courtesy greater meaning in your kids’ lives.
Talk about the benefits of courteous behavior with your kids so they can catch the vision for why it is important in their lives.
Encourage your kids to practice good manners at every opportunity. Teach them how to interact with others politely, answer the phone correctly, eat with good manners at the table, etc., so they will feel comfortable in any environment. – Article Link

Sportsmanship means to follow the rules of the game and have a good attitude about the outcome

Help your kids understand that good sportsmanship includes both small gestures and heroic efforts.
