Welcome to The Wave. It's our version of a digital newsletter written for Wake the World volunteers and supporters. It will keep you informed and provide you with some useful links as well as introduce you to some great personalities in our awesome organization! If you are a coordinator receiving this, please forward it to your volunteers and those that support your local event. Future editions of The Wave will be written and distributed as content is available - the more input we get from you, the more newletters will show up in your mailbox! An email address for submitting your story is provided at the bottom of this newsletter. We hope you enjoy it! |

March Means More Than Basketball That's right! For Wake the World enthusiasts the month of March means it's time to break out the wetsuits and snowsuits and strap on the boards for Wake-n-Flake! Held the 1st Saturday every March, the event consists of wakeboarding and surfing behind all the new dealer demo boats in the morning, then traveling to the mountains to go snowboarding in the evening. This is our biggest FUNdraiser of the year and we had a record turnout! March also means that Wake the World season is coming fast . . . better get ready!! | | |

Meet Greg Hodgin Just in case you've never met Greg, he's the man that followed his heart and began the journey that has become our passion. Since 2008 he has inspired countless volunteers and encouraged a plethora of young people all over North America. His vision for sharing a love of watersports with those in children's homes has even become the fullfillment of his own personal prayer. When not working at his painting and equipment rental business, Greg spends his time as an ambassador for kids by working with and encouraging those that would carry on his dream. And with his wife Lois by his side, he continues to dream big for the benefit of others. |
