Can't Attend But Would Like to Support the Conference?
Ticket prices are low to make the day affordable to all,
but conference expenses need to be paid.
A contribution of any amount will be appreciated!
Make a contribution towards the conference expenses, or, if you prefer,
your donation can provide seed money for our launch of the Buzzways Initiative.

Volunteers Make the Pollinators Happy!
We can't do what we do without volunteers.
This is especially true with our awesome April conference!
We are looking for special people willing to help with various tasks,
both prior to and during the conference.
These tasks include distributing flyers;
promoting the conference via traditional media and social media;
selling tickets during the conference;
organizing educational materials; sharing ideas; and more.
We'd love to hear how you would like to help!
Send an email to pollinatorprojectroguevalley@gmail.com.

Good News and Bad News
This is big: it's good news for beekeepers with hives near
commercial agricultural operations, but it's still
bad news for both honeybees and native bees
until ALL neonicinitoids are eliminated.
"In the first test of a landmark environmental law, Minnesota
has compensated two beekeepers whose hives were severely damaged last spring by toxic dust that drifted off the fields of a neighbor planting [ge] corn."
In win for beekeepers, Minnesota links insecticide to damaged hives

Pollinators' Pick
Thank you, Rhonda Nowak, for this lovely article about the importance
of our pollinators, and for sharing the word about our conference!
"Garden by garden, the actions we take can make a difference
in extending our winged friends’ habitation on our planet."
Oh, for a bee's experience: protecting garden pollinators
Correction: Unfortunately, lunch at the conference is not included in the
$10 ticket price. Prepay for a reserved box lunch here.
