Stuff the Pantry
McKamy Robotics Club (MRC) may be the newest club at McKamy MS but we are strategic, collaborative, service minded and always love a great competition!
Service Need Challenge: There are many wonderful families in the local communities that LISD serves who will not have much needed food to eat these next few months. In the spirit of the season, MRC would like to support the McKamy Middle School Food Drive benefiting CCA who will make sure these families get the food they need.
When: Starting TODAY thru next Thursday 11/5
Club Competition: All of the Clubs are competing against each other to see who has the most POINTS....we love points right! We also have something the other Clubs don't have.... 21 engaged Parent Mentors to help the students on their team with collections from their own pantries and that of their neighbors or friends :-)
Our mission is to collect as many POINTS to fill the pantry of CCA and the items listed below are like the orange bonus balls in Nothing But Net so EARN DOUBLE (2 pts) vs. 1 point for all other non-perishable food items.
Bonus Items worth 2 pts are:
- Canned Evaporated Milk (16 oz.)
- Canned Fruit (16 oz.)
- Instant Potatoes, boxed
- Canned Pie Filling
- Boxed Stuffing
- Canned Yams (16 oz.)
- Chicken Broth
- Sugar (2 lb)
- Canned Cranberry Sauce

Very Large Grey Plastic Container with Lid to protect from weather - up by the door on the right behind the pillar (Don't forget to close the lid tightly after drop off :-)

We know many of you are also in band, orchestra, boys sports, girl sports, drama, etc., so you will be sharing across :-) There is a lot of talk about which club is going to rock this competition. The most important thing is this service project has real direct benefits to those in our LISD family who really need it. So get creative and think about those around you that can help McKamy Robotics make a difference in the lives of others.
