In general, what is your athletic background? I have played basketball and softball since elementary age.  Have ran in over 5 5ks since graduating high school.

How did you learn about CrossFit Kalamazoo? From my co-worker at DENSO Vas A when we became Facebook friends, I seen her pictures of doing CrossFit and became very interested.

How has CrossFit Kalamazoo changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness?  CrossFit has become my new lifestyle.  My fitness level, especially endurance and specifically strength.  I never imagined that I would be able to move the amount of weight that I can currently.  It’s very encouraging for me.

List short/long term goals you would like to accomplish through CrossFit Kalamazoo:

I would like to compete at some level.  I would like to experience that at least once!  I feel I work very hard, and would like to showcase that.

What do you like most about CrossFit Kalamazoo? The "family" that CrossFit has become to me.  I look forward to my time there and spending it with my CrossFit Family.  The confidence builder.  The way I look and think about myself has changed.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Squat Cleans

What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? Ring Dips

What are you currently doing to try to improve your diet? I have cut out sugar, milk product and gluten from my daily diet. I started taking vitamins and added a protein recovery shake after workouts and I feel that has helped me tremendously. Not only to recover faster, but to also perform better during workouts.

Favorite movie:Docu-dramas Food Inc., Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and Blackfish are a few. Classics for me if on TV, I have to watch them… Twister and Jurrasic Park.

Favorite and/or current book: Wild – Cheryl StrayedFavorite music genre/artist: Cream – anything Eric Clapton late 60s early 70s era

Achievements you’d like to highlight within your life: Going back to school after marriage and children.

List a few things we don’t know about you: I was trapped inside a zoo once after closing hours. I was on the school wrestling team in middle school and 9th grade (high school)

In 10 words or less, what does CF mean to you? The opportunity to push myself to my maximum fitness potential.
