What an exciting weekend of Track & Field we enjoyed at Mary Anne Sills Track in Belleville, Ontario.  Club athletes won a total of 13 medals, 8 Gold, 1 Silver, 4 Bronze and 21 Top 10 finishes. Two athletes, Laura Parkinson (1500m) and Mikenna Vanderheyden (1500SC) also set Canadian Interscholastic Records.  Congratulation team.

 

This focus of this newsletter is to outline opportunities for meets going forward.  For Midget and Youth athletes, we are very excited about the upcoming set of Legion Meets, leading up to the Canadian Legion Youth Championship held this year in Brandon, Manitoba.

 

Our Elementary athletes, have a rich set of meets throughout June & July leading up to the Ontario Minor Track Championships.  These meets are published in our Elementary Newsletters.

 

Our Junior & Senior season and championship meets are listed below.  This week is the Combined Events Championship in Ottawa.

OUTDOOR TRACK SEASON AT TD REQUIRES SHOE TAGS, PARKING IS FREE  (Enforcement is coming soon)

 

 This is another reminder about about Parking at TD Stadium & Shoe Tags for access

 

New parking machines have been installed at TD Stadium.  Upon entering TD Stadium, take a ticket.  Athletes and parents who leave the parking lot before 2.5 hours, do not have to pay.

Elementary $120 List Price 

After City & London Legion  Subsidy Families pay only $30

 

High School $160 List Price

After City & London Legion Familes pay only Subsidy $40

Regional District A & C Track & Field Qualification Meets for Midget & Youth aged athletes.

 

This coming weekend starts this years Legion Qualification meets leading up to Team Ontario selection for the Canadian Legion T&F Championship held this year in Brandon Manitoba.

 

District C (St. Mary's & Stratford & Huron County) is this weekend.

 

The Ontario District A qualifier, London, Middlesex, Sarnia, Chatham, Windsor is June 23-24 at Windsor's Sandwich Stadium.  Club Bantam athletes are eligible to compete in this meet.

 

For planning purposes the Ontario Legion Championship is July 14-15 at Windsor's Pan Am Stadium.
