Our New Shop Is Shaping Up! |

That's the inside of the front of our new shop space at 438 West Main Street above. The ceiling is painted, the walls are nearly done, and the floor is looking great! This week we've begun moving some boxes, bins and furniture - little bits at a time. We are so excited, and can't wait to sew, knit and chat with you in our new space. There's still work to be done! We are planning a fabulous Grand Re-Opening Party on November 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be music, food, puppets and laughter. And, of course, all the nerdy crafty goodness you've come to expect from us at SewGreen@Rochester. If you've made something out of items purchased at the shop, bring it! Wear it! Show it off! We'd love to see your work. And let us know if you'd like to help out with the party by bringing food and/or entertainment! |

Costume Workshop SewGreen@Rochester is closed Sundays. The shop's last day on Arnett Blvd will be Sat, October 29. Our first day open on West Main will be Mon, November 7. There will be no classes Mon, October 31 through Sat, November 5. Josefina's last class teaching how to make Beautiful Handbags will be Thurs, October 27, 4 to 6 p.m. She will return for a couple of classes in December so watch this space for your next opportunity to work with her! |

Still happening this October... Two Saturday opportunities! Join us for 3-hour Costume Work-shops every Saturday in October. Make a costume for a kid you know or the kid in you. $10/class or $30 for all five. And Kids' Sewing Club will meet on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's free! Explore the world of hand-crafts with us. Ages 8 & up; 8-10 year-olds must be accompanied by a trusted adult. We're offering a 2nd chance to catch our lesson in Sewing Polar Fleece Hats and Mittens, Monday, October 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 4 to 6 p.m. Sign up today! And help us use up some of our bright fleece while you prepare yourself, or someone you love for our Rochester winter. |

Remember... Every Saturday is Scrappy Saturday! Our small scrappy bags stuffed with scraps and rolls of fabric and/or unmarked balls of yarn are only $1 all day (regularly $3 on weekdays). Grocery-sized totes stuffed full are only $5 (regularly $10). Stop by and fill a bag this Saturday, and every Saturday. We won't stop you! There will always more to be had. |

If you wish your clothing fit you better than it does, or if you want to stop sewing and/or knitting garments that you either swim in or can't quite close at the front, the first step is to obtain accurate measurements of your body. Surprise Saturday Specials! Do you love surprises? The good ones? We do. And we've got good surprises for you! Every Saturday at our store, shoppers are treated to a surprise special.
