Yes, that's right. SewGreen@Rochester Is Moving! |
We are busy this October preparing our new space at 438 West Main Street in Rochester's Susan B. Anthony neighborhood and 14608 zip code. Volunteers are busy painting ceilings and walls, and we will be read very soon to begin work on the flooring. Interested in joining in the fun? Email volunteer@sewgreenrochester.org or call 585-328-2642. To the left, multi-talented Josefina, teacher of our beautiful handbag sewing class, reaches new heights with a paint roller. Remember, we will be open on Arnett Boulevard through Saturday, October 29, and on Monday morning, November 7, we will throw open our West Main door. We will have a Grand Re-Opening Party shortly after, on Saturday, November 12. |

Our new location on the corner of West Main and Canal Streets is pictured above. We can't wait to show it to you in person! |

Sewing Machines for Sale! We have a several sewing machines at the shop, ready to go home with you! A few of them are some kind of special. The sweet Singer 185J at the left is one of them. We are asking $75 for this beauty. Stop by, see what we've got! |
What Happens Here? Ever wonder what people make at our shop? Peggy Lee (pictured at left) made a fleece hat! She learned to balance her serger threads a while back in our Serger 101 class, and came to our Serger 201 class to learn how to work with stretch threads. Her new fleece hat was a great test project for stretch-stitching on her serger, and it looks great too! |

A couple of weeks ago, Mary and Ruth (pictured at right), along with their brother Joseph, attended our Embellish with Buttons class. Once they got started down the Pearlie path, they couldn't stop! And that's ok. We have a lot of buttons to choose from, and choose they did! All three took buttons home to continue blinging up their hats and clothing. |
And Velma (pictured at left) made a "pillow"! There was an old cushion on a bench at the dance studio she frequents, and she decided to plump it up and make a new one. We were glad to help. About three weeks later, and participating in a few of our Open Sewing Opportu-ities, here she is with her finished product: a plush, comfortable cushion for the dancers to sit upon. We love celebrating our customers' sewing successes with them. We'd love to help you celebrate your sewing successes, too. |
