Surprise Saturday Specials! Do you love surprises? The good ones? We do. And we've got good surprises for you! Every Saturday (beginning August 27) shoppers will be treated to a surprise special. It might be one free book with every purchase. It might be a free small scrappy bag. It might be 5 free sewing patterns, or a free zipper, or a free pair of knitting needles. We don't know. It's a surprise! Come, shop and see! |

After an eventful summer, our summer interns move on to their fall academic challenges. |
|

One day this summer, a donation of 10 garbage bags full of fabric arrived at the shop door. Our more seasoned volunteers puzzled over where we would store it all until we'd have time to sort, measure, tidy and price it. But we needn't have worried. Our student volunteers -- Kiara, Bayley and Julia -- and Kentrayl, our paid intern through RochesterWorks, tore into it bit by bit and before too long that tower of fabric, and a few others, were sorted, measured, tidied and priced. Their rock-steady support and good humor made the summer days seem to fly by -- even the really hot ones! |

Thank you, Kiara, Bayley, Julia and Kentrayl. The four of you brought new energy to us at SewGreen@Rochester. We are so privileged to have had the chance to work with each of you, to get to know you, and we are very glad to know that you will be with us again whenever you are able. |

Two new Classes Coming in September On Tuesday, September 20, we are offering Sewing for Babies & Toddlers from 5 to 7 p.m. Is there a special little someone in your life? Clothing and blankets for babies and toddlers are small, manageable projects that will sharpen your sewing skills. And you'll end up with special handmade gifts for a new family member or friend! |

On Saturday, September 24, join us for Embellish with Buttons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Whether you are looking to make a simple statement with one gorgeous button, or wish to go full Pearly King or Queen, this is the class for you.
