March 6-8, 2016 at the Mohonk Mountain House!  Mohonk Mountain House is an award-winning resort near the Catskill Mountains, located in the town of New Paltz, NY.  This Victorian castle, with fanciful turrets, local stone and gabled frame construction is set on 1200 acres of spectacular scenery overlooking Lake Mohonk.

<h6>Come join us for 2 days of stitching, educational tips, canvas enhancement and lots of fun with fellow stitchers.  The retreat is designed so you can bring your own project and threads.  We will be offering four "tips and techniques" mini-sessions during the 2 days to teach you new ways to enhance your canvases!!!  Raffles and prizes!!!  We arrive Sunday around 2pm and leave late Tuesday afternoon. Did You Know???
Are you someone who struggles making a bullion knot?  You are not alone.  But we have a secret....did you know that you can use pearl cotton to make a "fake" bullion knot?  And, that it looks as good as a real bullion knot?  Look at these photos below.   Come into the store and we will teach you how to do this...perfect "bullion knots" every time!

Bring the pearl cotton up thru your canvas.  Take one strand and push the others down towards your canvas.  It will push down like a bullion knot.  Rethread the strands in your needle and go back down thru your canvas to anchor your knot.
