New Year - New Website - New Rules

The next Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race is on June 27th. We hope to see you on the start line.

Welcome to the first our new look newsletters for the Three Peaks Yacht Race.

Hopefully you will already taken a look at the new website. Its worth checking regularly as new pages are added frequently.

The latest additions are an archive of race entries, winners, records and times going right back to the first race in 1977!

This impressive number crunching has been done by Martin Pound (Skipper of Moby J) and he's even ordered times so you can see where you stand on all-time lists, for sailing and running, and overall.

If you know someone on the lists be sure to email them and let them know!

There have been some changes to the rules as well, and the most significant are that sailing times in and out of Whitehaven will now be recorded from the outer harbour, removing the 'lottery of the lock gate'.  Also the ride to Ennerdale will now finish at Black Sail Youth Hostel, so it's all change in the Lake District.

There are some other rule changes you should check out too.

You can also now follow the race on both Facebook and Twitter where we'll make regular updates, and there is a noticeboard on the website if you are looking for team mates or advice.

We'll send out occasional newsletters when there is something to say and the more people we reach the better, so please pass them on to sailing and running friends and share our Facebook posts and tweets.

That's all for now - hope to see you in June!

Yours in Adventure,

The Race Committee
