Harlem Globetrotters Game

Sunday, February 12th, at 4:00pm

Bryce Jordan Center

Cub Scout Pack 375 has been invited to attend an upcoming Harlem Globetrotters Game at a discounted rate.  Please see below for additonal details, pricing, and RSVP deadline.

Please see available tickets and corresponding rates HERE.

There is NO group minimum required and individuals can decide what price point works best for their family.  Children under the age of two do not require a ticket with the assumption they will sit on an adult's lap.

These tickets are more expensive than the standard PSU Basketball games Pack 375 has attended in the past, but also a different opportunity.  The "High Sides/Ends" option seems to be the best value.  Anybody ordering through the Pack will be seated together in the respective sections chosen.

RSVP- If interested in attending, please email:

CubScouts375@gmail.com

the quantity and type of tickets you would like by EOD Thursday, February 2nd.

For Payment, the Pack will cover the costs of this initial order, however we request payment be sent to Paul Brown or the Cubmaster as soon as possible.

Please make checks payable to Pack 375 BSA.

Orders will be placed on Friday, February 3rd despite the deadline on the order form.  Tickets will still be available after this week however you will need to bring the flyer to the box office and pay directly.

If you have any quesions, please contact the Cubmaster.

February Pack Meeting

Thursday, February 16th @ 7:00 p.m.

Our next Pack Meeting will be Thursday, February 16th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  Our Webelos II will be doing the flag ceremony!

Pinewood Derby

Saturday, February 18th

Good Shepherd Catholic Church

Theme:  Electronic Devices

It's that time of year again!  The annual Pinewood Derby is just around the corner!  This year's theme is Electronic Devices to include video games and apps.  Each Scout should have received a Pinewood Derby car kit which includes wood and wheels to make their car.  There are specific guidelines the Scouts must follow when crafting their cars to include weight restrictions.  Please see the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) official website for Pinewood Derby Rules and Regulations.

Scouts are not required to participate in the Pinewood Derby nor are they required to stay for the duration of the event, just their time slot and Finals if applicable.  Those unable to attend the event can still have their cars compete so long as the car is provided beforehand.  Each Scout competes against other cars from their Den.  Den winners and those with the fastest times go on to compete in an overall Pack race.  The top three Pack finishers then compete in the District Finals.

Please see below for additional details and tentative race times.

9:00 a.m.:  Webelos II

9:30 a.m.:  Webelos I

10:00 a.m.:  Bear Den

10:30 a.m.:  Wolf Den

11:30 a.m.:  Friends and Family

** Please arrive 30 minutes before your race time to register and weigh in your car.**

There are extras kits available for siblings, friends, and other family members for $5 each.

If your son did not receive his car, please contact his Den Leader.

Klondike Derby Recap

The Klondike Derby is an annual event held during the winter months and is based on the heritage of the Klondike Gold Rush.  This year, the 46th annual Klondike Derby theme was the Chisholm Trail.

The event consisted of several stations where patrols/units tested their Scoutcraft skills and leadershp abilities, earning points toward a final score.  Stations included knot tying, archery, BB gun shooting, cooking, first aid, constellation quiz, and sled obstacle course.  The patrols transported all their gear on a homemade sled pulled by the Scouts.

Cub Scout Pack 375 had two patrols this year.  The Webelos I, aka the Cowboy Ninjas, did an excellent job working together in their first Klondike Derby.  The Trailblazers, aka the Webelos II, also had an impressive showing for their second year.  The boys performed well as teams and had fun despite the frigid temperatures and lack of snow!

Great work Scouts!
