Square Fair Is this Saturday, June 4th! The Square Fair at Aberdeen Square has a long tradition in the 19th Ward, and this year, SewGreen@Rochester will be there from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., demonstrating our treadle sewing machine, knitting, and other creative hand-crafts! Stop by and say hello. Hang out with us and knit, or sew, or crochet, or... we're not fussy! Come to our tent on the Square and make something with us! And don't worry. Although we are not selling anything at the Fair, our Arnett Boulevard shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aberdeen Square is on Aberdeen Street between Post and Woodbine Avenues. |

Join us for Summer Sidewalk Saturdays! Look for our canopy on the sidewalk outside our shop! We will be putting it up every fair-weather-Saturday, setting up the treadle sewing machine, tables and chairs under it, and bringing out some cardboard looms and other fun crafts to share with whomever stops by. So stop by the shop, and spend some time with us, weaving, knitting, sewing, making, talking and laughing as we watch the 19th Ward go by on Arnett Boulevard. Help us represent crafty goodness in public! It will be great fun! |

Join us for Open Sewing times, and if what we offer doesn't coincide with your calendar, give us a call and we will figure out a time that works for you. Join us, and make something! Ragdolls with Julia Julia Eddy will be teaching us how to make ragdolls on two Mondays, June 6 & 13, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Come to the 1st class and learn how to make a ragdoll of your own using fabric scraps and yarn ends you will find in our shop. Come back for the 2nd class and learn how to make clothing and other items for your new doll. Ages 10 and up. $20 for two classes. |

Serger Class Laurie Phillips, a long-time sewing machine expert, is coming to the shop to demystify sergers. Do you have a serger? Do you want to learn how to thread it? Or how to use it like an expert? Sign up for one of her classes, Tuesday, June 7: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. $10 for one class. |

Coming in July! - Marionette Camp! During the last week of July and the first week of August, Tom Bohrer, 19th Ward neighbor and master puppeteer, returns to our shop to teach us how to make marionettes! Beginning Monday, July 25, Tom will lead us through this two-week project, from 10:00 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon, Mondays through Thursdays. We will offer a catch-up-day on Friday, July 28, in case your puppet-making requires a little more time. |

On Friday, August 5, SewGreen@Rochester will host a marionette show featuring everyone's completed creations! Cost is $50 for 8 to 9 days of instruction. Attending the show is free!
