Whew!  What a weekend!

On Saturday, I had two competitions at the All Year Open in Ontario, CA in Solo Silver Pattern Dance and Novice Combined Solo Ice Dance.  Competitors came from the Bay Area and Los Angeles.  These girls were great and I knew I would have to perform at my best to get to the podium.  I performed so much better than I expected and got first place in both events!

It is still early in the competition season but I have three wins in the Solo Silver Pattern Ice Dance, which qualifies me for Nationals again this year (in Lansing, MI this year).  For Novice Combined Solo Ice Dance, I have enough points to qualify but one more win or high place will guarantee it!  If Jeffrey and I qualify for Juvenile Pairs Ice Dance Nationals Competition in Minneapolis, I will have three chances to podium at Nationals!  I am ready!!!

On Friday night, my partner, Jeffrey, and I performed for the judges for critique and they liked us. See Video (Large) (Small).

Jeffrey and I have been skating together for 3-4 months.  We are still learning about each other.  He is a super-skater (went to Nationals at the Juvenile level in freestyle the past two years and was in the top 4 and 5).  He is also super-funny and knows magic tricks.  We have not competed together yet, but we plan to compete in San Francisco later this summer.  The judges wondered why we haven’t competed already.  They think we have a good chance to get to Nationals in Minneapolis this winter.  Practice, practice, practice!

Off ice, I am continuing Ballet en pointe and will be performing in the Nutcracker again this year for Festival Ballet Company.  So I will be ready for the lifts that Jeffrey and I plan to do on ice, I continue with Acrobatic Yoga and have started Aerial.  See video of my first Aerial performance (large) (small).

School is almost over!! I have 4 more days before I graduate from 5th grade at Laurel Springs School.  I’m two grades ahead! I love science and math and I love to read.  I have been learning a lot about the Holocaust and American History.

Now it's time for some play!

THANK YOU!

Thank you everyone for you support and interest!

Without your help, I would not be able to keep working with all of my on- and off-ice coaches. Skating is so expensive. The dresses, the skates, the coaches, the ice time. So thank you all so much!  Every little bit helps!!!

Love,
