An AED and an Ice Bath
This is going to be a powerful newsletter. How many deaths will it take to become PROACTIVE?
Parents:
- Does your child's youth sports organization have both an AED and Ice Bath (in the hot weather) field side for games AND practices?
- Do you know the answer to this question?
- Are ALL the coaches trained in CPR and heat injury safety management?
- If not, why not? It is YOUR child out there!
- Do you know that BOTH of these critical safety tools can be procured via a grant, i.e. for FREE?
Administrators:
- Are both of these tools part of your risk mitigation & management action plan?
- Did you know that if they are not, you can be held PERSONALLY liable for an incident?
Coaches:
- Are you trained to deal with an on-the-field medical emergency?
- Are you CPR and Heat Injury trained?
- Are you comfortable coaching and not being trained?
- Do you know that you can also be held PERSONALLY liable for an incident?
