26th Annual Art Extravaganza!

We will host our annual Art Extravganza at SpringHill Suites Marriott, near the Napa County Airport.  The juried show will be held from Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29, from 11am-5pm.

This year we received over 70 entries from 26 artists.  The categories included oils & acrylics, watercolors, photography, pastels and mixed media/other.  There are winners in each category as well as a "Best of Show."  We also have an informal "Peoples Choice" award, based on voting from the general public.

The winners will be announced at the Artist Reception and Silent Auction, held at the end of the show, Sunday, April 29 from 5:30-7:30pm--also at the SpringHill Suites.  The "People's Choice" winner will be announced after the show, via social media.

We will have a variety of wines, gift certificates, baskets and other items for auction, so tell your friends and family to make it out to SpringHill Suites Marriott on April 29!

AmCan By the Bay - April 21

Everybody loves going to our wetlands, and on Saturday, April 21, the Arts Foundation, along with a number of other community groups and the City of American Canyon, will host the third AmCan By the Bay--the way we celebrate Earth Day!

The Arts Foundation will work with local art teacher, Jenifer Leahy, and provide a crafts project for kids.  It will involve the use of recycled plastic bottles to transform a canvas into a floral masterpiece!

This is a free event for the entire family.  If it's anything like last year, with incredible exhibits, information booths, food trucks and Renaissance Faire like attractions, you won't want to miss it!

Chalk Art Contest--Another Big Hit!

We held our 12th annual Chalk Art Contest as part of the City's Spring Celebration event, on March 24.  Even though it was in-between storms, we had great weather and a good turnout.  With almost 80 young people participating, we chalked up another great year!

Holi Festival of Colors - Incredible!

As colorful as it is fun, the annual Holi Festival, produced by Helping Hand Indo-American, and co-sponsored this year by the Arts Foundation, highlights the end of winter and the beginning of spring.  Or at least, that's the tradition.  Lately, we haven't been able to decide if we're through with winter or not, given the last two storms in April!
