The execution and construction systems used throughout Mexico are mostly based on cement block or bricks, reinforcing rebar and structural elements of reinforced concrete unlike the construction system in the United States as we know is mainly with wood, regarding residential. This, makes the difference in the way of evaluating and inspecting in these specific points the houses in comparison to other standards that although they are not valid in the country, they can be a good reference with a certain value.

In Mexico there is the legal figure of the DRO who guarantees that the work in execution complies with the standards, laws and permits for the authorized project, the standards of habitability, architecture, facilities and structural safety. Once finished, it is recommended that the residence be inspected by a third party so that it can be inhabited. The same criterion must be used in the case of residences previously inhabited and that go to the real estate market for sale. Considering the above, we are the most suitable to carry out an adequate inspection.

All this in the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and in the Unit of Postgraduate Studies of the same University.
