Greetings playschool friends and families,
Welcome to the time of Imbolc, and Midwinter.
The Winter Solstice is behind us, and the Spring Equinox is before us.
We've been enduring cold, wet, dark, and downright dreary days, for weeks.
And weeks.
The soil is saturated with blessed water,
our afternoons are full of puddle splashing,
and I've been whispering notes of gratitude
for good rain gear on my bike commutes.
And yet,
we've observed this week that the earth
is preparing for a season of
flowers, frolic, and fun.
But for now,
we still have plenty of time to learn
the songs and stories of Winter.
Since the Solstice, I've been spending a whole lotta time out in my canvas wall tent sleeping space, curled up in my pink velvet cozy chair, or next to the fire. Through the early mornings and late nights, I've kept counsel with Wind & Rain.
Some days I'm simply pleading with them not to blow away my cozy little outdoor sanctuary. Some days we confer. And other days, I'm simply thanking them for the beautiful symphony of their more gentle songs, to which I can read my books or write my stories to. Either~how, we've been intimate companions these last several weeks.
In our time together this season, I've found good direction and the
good~gracious gumption needed to move forward, in All the Ways.
I pray that these 'fumbling-through-the-dark' teachings and learnings of Winter will hold close in mind, even when comes the ease of lighter and brighter seasons.
Now, let us share our playschool updates and happenings through this
Imbolc to Equinox Tide, here in our slow emergence, out of Winter.
