MY MEDITATION!
Matt 15:8 "These people honor Me with their lips,b ut their heart is far from Me".
This was such a 'Kairos' moment', because it made me understand the situation i was in at that time so clearly. I felt such peace knowing He was present working for me to keep my focus. So much so that I could sleep on the floor and with lizards in the room.
2 Tim 3:7 "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth".
Also another another Kairos moment for me to draw a line in the sand as to whether I would choose His will or my desire to be comfortable as I had prayed. Of course I chose His will, what He sent me to the Philippines for and not to pamper myself. This started me on a journey of not, "limiting God" so I started praying bolder prayers than I had been praying and saw them come to pass soon after. eg. My host family wanted to get a massage and asked me about getting one too but I knew I didn't want to spend the money I have on non-ministry things so I declined. In my heart I said to the Lord, "I wish I could pay for My Hosts massage". The very next day I did the visit to the church and was told they wanted me to preach leadership to the church officers inductees, so I did and they gave me a love offering enough for me to pay for her massage and mine. Glory! I started praying that any money that leaves my hand must return multiplied and saw that happen also.
Prov. 29:25
"The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe"
This is a situation where a group of us were going to go into a situation that was unsafe for foreigners and we did not know it. I felt uneasy but since the group were not sure about going and I didn't want to go i had to pray about this uneasiness. Then the Lord gave me a the word "compromise" and told me to go look at the map, He showed me on the map that the area was prime for kidnappings so we cancelled the event. It did happen to some foreigners a week later in the area.
I went alone to Davao but I had such divine connections to get me to do all the things that I did, which started with Marigel and her introduction to some key people, so that even though she was busy and could not go around with me, God's work still got done with the help of many connections He led me to. I do not have many pictures at those pivotal moments that would have been nice to show you all, because the people/person I was with nor I werent thinking about that but just getting the job done.
I did speak as the oracle of God and minister with the strength God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. In the process I learned how much God wants what I want for myself more than I even do. He really was with me working to perform His word thru me.
