Hand-Knotted Prayer / Meditation Beads Did you know that regular contemplative prayer and meditation can change your brain? Researchers are still figuring out how, but the benefits are good! Join us as we use nylon cording to create a couple different varieties of prayer/meditation beads. Suitable for any faith, stringed beads make excellent tools for centering and meditative practices. Knitting Machine Demo Coming, Saturday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a few friends of SewGreen@ROC will bring in their flat and sock knitting machines to show - on a small scale - how your machine-knit garments are made. Don't miss this demonstration event! We've scheduled it during our Kids' Sewing Club time, but it's for all ages. Bring your curiosity, and join us! |

Sew with Josefina Make something special with the multi-talented Josefina using beautiful fabric scraps and notions in our shop. We don't know yet what she's got planned, but we are sure it will be wonderful. So come, be surprised and be inspired! No sewing machine experience necessary. Ages 10 & up. Every Thursday in March, 4 to 6 p.m. except March 2. |

Make an Apron Simple, elaborate, plain or fancy - aprons are fun and easy to make. Sign up for this class and we will start with the basics. Learn how to design, piece, add trim, and create as simple and streamlined or as frilly and complicated an apron as you like. Finish something fun and useful while learning lots of new sewing skills! Remember... Every Saturday is Scrappy Saturday! Our small scrappy bags stuffed with scraps and rolls of fabric and/or unmarked balls of yarn are only $1 all day (regularly $3 on weekdays). Bring your own grocery-sized tote and stuff it full for only $5 (regularly $10). Stop by and fill a bag this Saturday, and every Saturday! |

Join us on our Monday Mindful Walks from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Walk with us every Monday morning through our beautiful, historic Susan B. Anthony Neighborhood. Come along and see the architecture, the public artworks, the trees and gardens, and say hello with us to any of our neighbors who might be out and about. |
