Myrica Pensylvanica 'Northern Bayberry', a native plant that is a versatile, deciduous plant with dense branching, and is often used for shrub borders, informal hedges, or on banks for erosion control. It bears a small gray, waxy drupe throughout the winter season. The 'Northern Bayberry' is also fragrant year-round.

Itea Virginiana 'Henry's Garnet'

3 Gal (18-24") ~ $9.50

5 Gal ~ $15.00

This versatile native plant can be used in group plantings to create a shrubby ground cover, but looks lovely isolated as well. It boasts cluster-style white flowers in the late spring, and bears green leaves throughout the summer season. Leaves transition to a crimson shade in early fall, and the plant maintains its leaves well into late fall.

Mahnonia Nari Hira

This evergreen plant provides a punch of bright yellow color in the fall, and its smooth green leaves give it a fern-like texture. The glossy green leaves and racemes of yellow blooms extend well into winter.  It makes an ideal woodland planting, but is also at home in protected foundation plantings.
