In this newsletter we share with you new research about Jeanetta's mother Jane Smith, the bankruptcy of Ernest Woodley Warner involving a house he never lived in and tell you about a new date for the reunion March 25th.
Who was Jane Smith?
Jane Smith, Jeanetta's mother and George Menzies mother-in-law, is an enigma, a puzzle, in the Menzies family story.
Unfortunately we've had to change the date of our planned reunion and I hope it doesn't inconvenience you. This new date is 3 weeks before Easter and 2 weeks before school holidays. Please let me know if this creates problems for you.
George Menzies "borrowed" Woodley Cottage from his son-in-law who never lived there. We found the file dated 1897 in the State Archives. It includes an account of the weekly budget of the Warner household
We need your photos, stories and anecdotes for our family website. Do you have letters from family members? Photos you've never really looked at or perhaps you cannot identify the sitters?
