"Ease on Down" Comes to SewGreen@Rochester |
On Saturday, May 21st, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. SewGreen@Rochester will be participating in the Thurston Brooks Merchants Association 5th Annual "Ease on Down" Event. We will be out on the sidewalk in front of our shop all day, with creative, hands-on crafts and activities for all ages. We will be giving away raffle tickets to every "Ease on Down Treasure Tour" participant who stops by for discounts at participating shops. Ease on down and join the fun! |
If you have created objects using materials from our shop, and you are interested in selling them outside on our sidewalk during this event, please give us a call 585-328-2642 or email us at info@sewgreenrochester.org to let us know you are coming and what you plan to sell. We would love to have you join us, and help you showcase what you have made! Finally, we are hoping for a sunny day on the 21st, but ... we are in Rochester, NY. Prepare for the weather! |

Coming soon: June Ragdoll Classes! Meet Bianca! Julia created her using scraps of fabric, yarn and trim from our shop. She has agreed to teach a short series of classes (two Monday afternoons for two hours each) on how to make your very own sweet ragdoll from the bits and pieces you will find right here, at SewGreen@Rochester! Watch our website class calendar for more information about this and other shop events planned for June 2016! | | |

Our Novelty Yarn Smackdown Continues! Our customers continue to amaze us with their creativity. Where we see space-hogging, cringe-worthy fibers and colors, they see potential for playful fabrication, and are making imaginative, beautiful and fun things from our novelty yarn. Thank you, Margaret, Violet, Josefina, and Wilma, for helping to free up space in our shop by taking away bags full of novelty yarn, and for coming back in and sharing your work with us! Do you want your own bag of novelty yarn to play with? We have plenty. Come, take some away with you today! For free! |

Every Saturday Continues to Be Scrappy Saturday at SewGreen@Rochester Help us reduce our inventory of scraps and 1-yard rolls of fabrics, and unmarked balls of yarn! Mondays through Fridays, the regular price for stuffing full one of our little cloth bags with any of these items is only $3. But on Scrappy Saturdays? The price is slashed to $1! If you bring your own grocery-size tote, our weekday price for stuffing that full is $10. On Scrappy Saturdays? Just $5! |
