A couple of critical positions we need filled:
(2) Volunteer Coordinator HELPERs 7:00am - 10am - Your students need to arrive by 7:15am so this one is an easy time helping Yogita Garg with checking in volunteers and misc. deliveries! Qualifying matches don't start till 9:30am and you won't miss anything!
(1) Referee 8:30am - 5:00pm - No better seat in the house right on the floor with the action! Mr. Szydlik from FMHS is Head Referee, if you can count scoring balls you are good to go! You get breaks while matches happening on other field.
(4) Judging 9:00am - 5:00pm - You work as a partner with another judge get to interview the teams, look at the team Engineering Notebooks as a group with a rubric and vote on the special awards. Mr. Blalack is the Head Judge and he will provide quick training 2/4 at 7pm in the Robotics Room at McKamy or that morning if unable to attend.
Where you see "hold for student" you can e-mail us mckamyrobotics@gmail.com if your student has a sibling that would like to join in the fun volunteering. Those positions are right at the field and all the action.
NOTE: MRC student teams are competing on Saturday 2/6, so they do not sign up for volunteering that day; however, all MRC student members and their team Parent Mentors will be helping to set-up on Friday 2/5 beginning at 4pm! Parents are welcomed and encouraged to help with set-up on 2/5 with their student, in addition to volunteering for a shift at the competition on Saturday 2/6. THANK YOU in advance!!
Keep Calm and Robot On!
