Spring is finally here - and Clipper City Co-op is ready to bloom!

 The Survey Is Ready

We need to know YOU! What it is you need, what is missing in the food available to you and your family, what you like and what you wish would change.

Clipper City Co-op has developed a simple, easy to do survey (our first one!) to make sure we are heading in the right direction with YOUR Co-op.

The Clipper City Co-op is a community owned enterprise and it needs input from our community to grow.

Please! Take the survey (I promise, it's easy and won't take a ton of time - we all took it and made sure!) - pass it on to your friends and family - share on Face Book - give the link to anyone and EVERY one you think may have any interest at all in a community Co-op. If they have NO idea who we are, we especially want them to take it. We need a wide response - the more people who take it the better.

Upcoming Dates

Feel you are ready to be a little more active - be a part of our journey? It's not hard, it doesn't take a lot of time and it's FUN!

Here's some ways you can be an active Friend of the Co-op -

• Tuesday April 21- at Manitowoc Coffee on 8th St - 5:30pm - the next outreach meeting. Get questions answered, learn how you can get involved. Very informal 'meeting'.

• Earth Day - Participating in this event is becoming a Clipper City Co-op tradition. April 25 at the Manitowoc YMCA. Jill and Brenda will be manning the table from 10am until 2pm. We would LOVE for you to spend some time with them spreading the Co-op message. Or stop by and get to know them - we will have t-shirts, tea, soap, shopping bags (for sale) and a ton of smiles and info (always free).

• Tuesday May 19th - Clipper City Co-op will be hosting a showing of the video 'Food For Change' by award winning filmmaker and co-op member Steven Alves, at the Manitowoc Library. The time of the showing will be in the May newsletter, on the events calender on our website and on Face Book.

• The 2nd Saturday of the summer months (June thru October), join us at the Manitowoc Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm. Help us get information out, talk to people about co-ops and what we're doing - easy going, great way to meet people. Call Cath at 901-1208, email us or stop in at the outreach meeting on 4/21.

House Parties Are Next

We are starting a serious push for 'seed members' - future member/owners of the Clipper City Co-op who see and share our vision and want to invest NOW to help us reach our financial goal for a feasibility study. We need committed members and we need money!

One way to spread the word - have a party!!

Do you have some friends that you KNOW would love to hear more about the Co-op?

Would you feel much more comfortable sitting in your own home, or the home of a friend - asking questions, getting to know the steering committee, meeting others who share your passion for the community and the Co-op?

Jill will be hosting our first Co-op House Party. Our goals? Have Fun - Educate - Get to know other like-minded people - Generate Seed Members - Have FUN! (oops, said that already)

We would love to have you host a Co-op House Party - any size, we can work out the details, and I PROMISE there is NO hard sell on the seed members. Our first goal (besides fun) is to educate.

Not sure you want to host a party, but like the idea? Send us an email and we can include you and your friends in another party. Or we can find an informal setting to meet at - we can work something out!
