Job Fair, Fall Back & Voting
The holiday season is upon us! This means "seasonal" employment opportunities could end up full time positions. Employers tell us that if you show up for work on time, every day and complete the work asked, you're hired permanently!
Take advantage of the building excitement in Detroit! District Detroit, the M-1Rail and the new Detroit - Windsor Bridge crossing are "big" projects that bring thousands of opportunities yet companies like Detroit Manufacturing Systems are also looking for committed employees. DMS will host a hiring event next Saturday, November 8th. Be prepared! Get involved in apprenticeship or workforce development training, complete your GED, register for college classes or complete free online training modules at the Michigan electronic Library's Learning Express.
Network in the city by getting involved in volunteer opportunities, keep your resume updated and get busy; searching for employment is a full time job!
