Happy summer everyone and welcome to our new E-Newsletter! This new format will provide interactive links and photos for your benefit as well as important information regarding the rest of the summer and fall. In addition, this newsletter is mobile friendly, so you can access this newsletter anytime from your email on your smartphone. Check out a video of our newest dance room addition! We will be offering more classes in this room, as it will accommodate many more dancers and allow us to make use of the large space. It is a brand new dance floor with new ballet barres, and will soon be adding wall length mirrors. It also has a new adjoining break room for dancers and families with WiFi. We are so pleased with this space!

Office Administration

We are sad to see Melanie, our office assistant, leave but are excited for her future at UC Berkeley and wish her the best. We are also happy to be welcoming Mollie as our new Office Manager, in addition to teaching many more classes this year. If you are not already a member, please add yourself to our HeartBeat Dance Academy Google Group. This is where we most commonly send out all HeartBeat Dance information and reminders. Clink the link below to join our group and never miss a beat! 

Summer Camps

We still have two more weeks of Summer Camp Intensives! Dancers have been having a great time these past few weeks with Master and Guest teachers and we are excited to have more coming in these next two weeks. Mollie will be teaching a Street Jazz routine, our Hip Hop instructor Jenna teaching an Afro-Haitian routine, Teri with a lyrical/contemporary routine, and Lynette from the 49er Gold Rush Girls teaching a Jazz routine. 

If any dancers not taking this summer intensive camp are interested in taking the Master class with Lynette, you can register for the Master Class HERE. Lynette will be coming in on Thursday, July 24th from 1-3pm and the fee is $40 (any dancers already enrolled in intensive camp do not need to pay this fee).

Summer Private Lessons

There are still available slots for private lessons with members of the HeartBeat Dance Academy staff. You can click on the link below and choose which date, time, and instructor you would like for your dancers' privates.

Auditions

Our second round of HBDA Competition auditions are around the corner! These auditions are for dancers who have not already auditioned during the first round of auditions. The first will take place this Friday, July 18th from 3-5pm for anyone interested in the Hip Hop competition team or the Jazz and Lyrical competition teams. The second audition will be on Monday, July 21st from 3-5pm and is just for dancers interested in the Jazz and Lyrical competition teams. You may attend one or both of the audition days.

Don't forget - if your dancer can "recruit" another dancer to audition, they get a free HeartBeat Dance Academy tank! Photo of the shirt is below.

Picture Day Photos

Photos from Picture Day have arrived! You may pick up your dancer's photos in Room A, Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm from now until July 30th.
